A collection of half-truths and hyperbole.
Mark Ian Estrellado (he/him) is a Filipino-American songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, shaping emo-leaning, cinematic rock from a foundation in composition and music production. Born in Houston and Azusa-raised, he graduated from the University of La Verne (B.A., Music—composition & music production/songwriting) and currently supports Professor Michael Ryan as a teaching assistant in ULV’s songwriting class. Mark also serves the community as a Piano, Guitar, and Drum Instructor at the dA Center for the Arts (Pomona, CA). While finishing his degree, he led teams as an Acting Entertainment Team Lead and a Front-End Team Lead at Walmart, a calm-under-pressure mindset that now anchors his studio process and live shows.
Mark writes and produces his releases end-to-end, channeling the cathartic storytelling of his favourites such as My Chemical Romance and Set It Off with modern flair and Vocaloid-style energy (like KANARIA and Hatsune Miku). A lifelong pianist (~16 years) who also plays guitar (6 years), bass (3), drums (1), and voice (4), he’s performed piano with The Heatstrokes, served as electric guitarist with Luminate Church, and held bass/piano positions in the ULV Jazz Ensemble. His collaborative circle includes musicians Lunation, Claire Kostich, Anderson Rodriguez, and his visual identity is developed in partnership with his suitor and artist @squishy._art._ on Instagram. Beyond recording, Mark is an active music transcriber, bringing precision and ear-training chops to arranging and live work and providing to students and other musicians alike.
Mark’s discography—including singles like “Daytime Wonder,” “Winter Finally Came,” and “Awakening,” alongside albums/EPs—lives at markianmusic.com, where he also shares lyrics and artwork credits.
Outside the studio, his prides himself in video games and anime, and other media—Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Pokémon, Super Mario Galaxy, late-night Phasmophobia/Minecraft/Fortnite sessions, series from My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU and Komi Can’t Communicate to Attack on Titan, Naruto, and Dragon Ball Z/Super, as well as other medias such as TV shows like The Rookie and Friends, as well as incredibly into the Star Wars franchise.
